Preschool Curriculum
We use the Handwriting Without Tears program in our pre-k activities. This program offers explicit instruction combined with guided practice to promote pre-writing and printing. It is a multisensory program which engages all learners to develop fine motor skills. It is a hands-on tool for vocabulary building and alphabetical knowledge before writing.

Play-Based Approach
We recognize play as a pivotal tool for children's learning. We develop a balanced program that transitions from a morning of structured preschool to an afternoon of play-based and child-centered discovery. Our activities, classroom setup, materials, and adult-child interactions focus on children's curiosity and wonders which emerge from asking "Why?," experimentation, problem-solving, experimentation, research, and investigation.

Small Group
Both art and preschool activities are implemented as small group activities to ensure that individual children's learning needs are met. Our teachers act as partners working alongside children to engage and encourage them to learn new skills through carefully planned learning activities.

Large Group
Circle Time is a well-loved large group activity at Echo. All children and teachers come together to sing, share, learn, and listen to stories. It is the time when children practice and develop positive relationships, respect, turn-taking, and working together towards a shared goal.
