Why ECHO?

parent-new

At ECHO, we understand that we cannot put a price on parents’ peace of mind.  Parents can be sure that you will have stress-free and worry-free working days when your child is with us.

Quality Programing

ECHO is more than just a daycare or a preschool. We are a small community where the children, educators, and parents all come together for the best interest of the child. We believe that children construct their own knowledge through exploration, discovery, taking on challenges, and interactions with their caregivers and peers. Most of our activities are planned based on children’s interests. We work hard to find the balance between children’s ideas and adults’ inputs in order to create learning experiences that are meaningful for every child.

Qualified Staff

Our educators understand the importance of the early years. ECHO believes that early childhood educators play the most important roles in fostering the development of the whole child. Not only ECHO caregivers are well-trained, but also well-paid. We treat our staff with respect. We strive to create a happy, warm, and fun environment where staff and the children are excited to come in every day.

Transparency and Open-Door Policy

ECHO’s General managers are open and willing to provide parents with answers to anything you may have questions on. Parents can set up meetings with us whenever you would like to talk face to face or you can email us anytime. If you have any concerns, please talk to us. We will work with you in order to accommodate your family’s needs.

Child Safety.

  • Staff-Child Ratio. ECHO follows Child Care Licensing Regulation. For infants and toddlers, our staff to child rario is 1:4  and 1:8 for 3-5 years old.
  • Indoor and Outdoor Physical Environment.  ECHO is a licensed childcare center. We  strictly follow the province’s Child Care Licensing Regulation. We ensure that both our indoor and outdoor space are not only safe but encourage children’s curiosity, self-discovery, and exploration.
  • Nutrition. A properly balanced nutritious diet is one of the most important things we adults can role model and provide.  Parents are responsible for providing lunch kits with food and ensuring a healthy temperature within the kits. Children at daycare are very active mentally and physically and they require a lot of food to sustain them. We stop for two snacks and lunch each day. Please also note that ECHO is a nut-friendly facility.
  • Rest Time. Quiet time is a very important part of each day. After lunch, children will be encouraged to rest on a mat/cot or participate in a calm quiet activity.
  • First Aid. ECHO’s staff hold a valid First Aid certificate. Minor incidents (bruises/cuts) may happen when children explore their environments. Staffs are trained to handle such minor but common accidents. We will contact parents right away when there are any occurrences that require parents’ immediate attention.
  • No Smoking/No idling. Echo upholds a non-smoking policy. No one will be permitted to smoke on the property. Cars and trucks must also help us keep the air clean for the children in close proximity. Parking lots adjacent to the facility or playground are no idle zones and strictly enforced for the safety of your children
  • More information on our health and safety policy is available on our Family Handbook.
