Safe Drop Off and Pick Up

family-1409826127ryuParents/Guardians must walk children into the facility and sign them in.  Please take the time to help your child change into their indoor shoes or get dressed for the outside elements. Please let us know if there is anything significant that staff should be aware of from the previous evening.  You are welcome to stay for a visit and play, read stories or join in with any activity.

At the end of the day, Parent/Guardians must enter the daycare and sign your child out for the day.  Again, you are welcome to stay for a visit, giving you insight into your child’s daily life.If the regular parent or guardian is not the one picking up the child please make sure that they are on your authorized pick up

If the regular parent or guardian is not the one picking up the child please make sure that they are on your authorized pick-up list, and that you have informed us that they will be taking your child.  If we have not met them they will be asked to show picture ID in order to protect your child. It is our Safe Release Policy that we will not release a child to someone who is not a parent if it appears that the person can not provide safe care.  Unauthorized persons will not be able to access your child or remove them from the facility.

If we suspect a parent picking up a child from daycare is under the influence of alcohol or drugs we cannot legally stop you from taking your child but we will recommend an alternate safe way home. If you get into the car we will immediately call the RCMP, and the Ministry of Children and Families.

In the case of late pick up a fee of $1.00/minute will be applied. If a parent or other emergency contact cannot be notified to pick up the child within 90 minutes from closing the Ministry of Children and Family Development will be notified.

If you are not attending for the day, or arriving late please let us know by 9:00am.
